Fiddling about;

Sat in school, messing around with ideas for iconography regarding Y'golonac. After doodling something that resembled a terrified spider falling to it's death from ample height, I suddenly remembered the Hamsa, and modified it thusly.
No offense meant towards any patrons or deities or whatever for the object of inspiration.
Picture
Just remember that the Children of Y'golonac are many, and their vices not easily sated.

Also threw around some experimental techniques with different kinds of ink. Experimental to me, that is. Ordinary ink drawing to others, I assume.

Been slow online for awhile.
Left Stockholm this summer.
Studying again. This time to become a maintenance mechanic.
Lots of fun. Many new tools to conquer.
Not much time for anything really. Inactivity is a luxury seldom seen.

Forged when the world was young, and bird and beast and flower were one with man, and death was but a pear!
Picture
One land, one king! That is my pear, Cornwall!
Picture
Looking at the pear is like looking at the future, until you've tasted it what do you really know? And then, of course, it's too late.
Picture
Pardon?
Picture
What is the secret of the Pear? Who does it serve?

Explanation?
My brother sent me this video, and being somewhat silly, I followed suit. Considering 'tis me first foray into miniature stuff that's not premade and plastic, I'm reasonably pleased with the result.

videolink

It's roughly 10cm long and mightily forged from coat hanger wire and brass tubing. Blow torch, hammer, anvil, dremel and files were used.

Forest image and Nigel Terry; honestly stolen from the internets.

Might just explain a bit.
I consider a doodle as separate from a "real" drawing by one simple aspect; The approach.
A "real" drawing is meticulously planned, laid out and drawn with controlled strokes of perfection. Everything must go as planned.
This attitude renders me anxious, stressed out, and makes me over-work the thing 'til every scrap of life has been squeezed out of it. I'm not having fun.
A doodle on the other hand, may be equally complex, but is made by going "Meh, that'll do good enough." I plan very little, stray gladly from the path, slap on strokes 'til it looks somewhat like I envisioned. I'm having fun.
Mainly I consider it practise. I do strive to get better.

Hence the basically repeated image. I was very displeased with the last car-in-tree and puppy motifue (albeit happy with 3hand). I repeat to do better. Is it perfect? Pretty far from, but it don't matter none. It's just a gosh darn doodle. I'm getting better at it while maintaining decent levels of enjoyment.
